Event description
Amanda Carter-Philpott, Disability Activist

About this event

As a disabled woman, trainer, educator, public speaker and activist in the disability community, Amanda has engaged with many diverse audiences sharing her dynamic approach to life with optimism and a dry sense of humour. Her approach is totally inclusive and is at the core of her business model for the Community Interest Company she runs. It is called Pandora Inc, which stands for: Promoting Achievement Nurturing Diversity Openly Respecting Ability. Pandora was set up to work with those on the margins of society and give a voice to the voiceless.

Amanda is also the disability representative on the Independent Advisory Group to the Police in Milton Keynes, vice chair of Works for Us, a local employment charity, and Chair of Soroptimists MK as well as an active member of the national Disability Caucus of the Women’s Equality Party. This interactive training session will help attendees appreciate why, when you prioritise disabled people, you are actually creating an environment that is inclusive and accessible for all.

The Midlands branches of the Women's Equality Party are delighted to welcome Amanda as our keynote speaker in July.
