Event description
Improving support with nutrition and eating for cancer patients

About this event

Diet and nutrition are really important but even more so when you are having cancer treatment.

Wessex Cancer Alliance are funding new projects to improve the way people with cancer are supported with their nutrition and eating at all stages of their illness.

Please join us at a Zoom workshop where we will:

  • Provide details of three new projects that are looking at how best to provide easier and better access to advice and support for cancer patients at different stages of treatment in Dorset, Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
  • Have a discussion about these projects and ask for your views to shape them as they develop.

During the workshop we will split into 2 different groups – please email Anna Bending if you have a preference/interest for any of the following workshops:

  • Generalised diet and nutritional discussion for people with cancer
  • Diet and nutritional support for people requiring surgery for their cancer

The workshop will take place between 6-7.30pm on 22nd June 2021. Please register your interest asap as places are limited.

Contact Anna Bending on Anna.bending1@nhs.net if you need help to use Zoom.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Please note: If you are a healthcare professional this is a session aimed at gathering opinions from those with experience of cancer rather than for educational purposes. Please note that any findings from this session will be shared at a later date.
