Join local historian Tim Crane and WHU super fans Bobby Seagull and Peter May for a fascinating journey through West Ham United's history. From the club’s beginnings in the industrial heart of East London to its rise as a symbol of local pride, this talk will explore how generations of players and managers have left their mark on both the game and the community. Expect stories of legendary Hammers heroes, the managers who shaped the club’s identity, and the way football has always been bound up with the lives of local people. Alongside the football, you’ll also hear about the wider history of West Ham’s communities, culture, and landmarks. Whether you’re a lifelong fan, a local resident, or simply curious about East London’s past, come along for an evening of insight, anecdotes, and pride in claret and blue.

Tim Crane is a lifelong West Ham historian and author, renowned for his extensive interviews with every player from the Ron Greenwood and John Lyall eras. His acclaimed works include definitive books on club legends Bobby Moore, Billy Bonds, and John Lyall.

His latest book, A History of West Ham United – The Upton Park Years 1904–2016, captures the unique spirit of that iconic era in the Club’s history.
