Arts Marketing Association Consultant Michelle Goodall, is a digital marketing expert who has worked with the BBC, London2012 and Coca Cola (to name but a few!).

When it comes to connecting meaningfully with audiences on social media, a number of factors must be considered. The most important is the need for a new kind of audience understanding. Traditional profiling and segmentations don’t deliver the kinds of insights that lead to powerful brand engagement. Powerful engagement comes from something more nuanced and less tangible. Brands don't measure success with the metrics of ‘likes’ and clicks any more. This has led to a shift towards branded content and influencer marketing.

An influencer is someone who has an active following and can move their followers to take action. They are people who are active on social media blogs. They are also brand advocates and niche promoters. Influencer marketing involves connecting with these thought leaders to build a mutually beneficial relationship.

Discover how to harness your own influence in this introduction to influential marketing.

14.15 - 15.45: Case studies and coaching

Each of the 11 partners have completed their own individual project based on their organisations audience development and marketing needs. Discover lessons learnt about thinking strategically, putting your audience first and being inspired by your collections.
