We are delighted to confirm that this regional UKABIF seminar and networking event will include presentations focusing on the world of Neurorehabilitation to support the recovery for those affected by an Acquired Brain Injury.
Our thanks to Irwin Mitchell's for being our fabulous hosts for this event. Parking is not available at the building itself but in carparks located close by e.g. https://www.b4parking.com/
Speakers include:
Philip Coulthurst - Managing Director of Coulthursts Solicitors will be discussing Advanced Neuroimaging techniques Part 2 - with James Cracknell, OBE
Following on from his successful talk at our June event Philip Coulthurst returns for part 2 of his talk and we are delighted that James Cracknell will be joining him to provide the lived experience view. Philip will explain how the latest MRI scans can help patients, clinicians, and lawyers evidence brain injury. Coulthursts was established from a collaboration between Philip as a brain injury lawyer, former GP and health entrepreneur, Dr Richard Newland. Coulthursts are a law firm wholly focused on working with individuals and their families after a brain injury.
Jamil Hussain Expert by Experience, Cygnet / Lived Experience Network (LENs)
My current role at Cygnet Brunel, Crow Lane Bristol, is that I am a EByE (Expert By Experience). This role involves me going into the hospital and helping make positive changes and listen to service users and support them with day to day activities. Also lost importantly this is to be there and help them see that being in cygnet is just a start of a journey and that there is light at the end of the tunnel as I am living proof of that.
Irwin Mitchell Speaker - details to be confirmed
All this and an opportunity to network with individuals across a wide range of disciplines and pathways - this is an ideal opportunity to tell people what you do, share best practice and build contacts as well as hear great speakers. Light refreshments available.
All this for free - yes I know its amazing.. but what we would ideally like you to do is register as a member of UKABIF. A national charity which believes that by bringing together all parties with an interest in ABI we have a stronger voice. https://ukabif.org.uk/general/pick_username.asp
