By Rachael Chamberlain

Overview

This free and informative event cannot be missed if you work with/support those affected by brain injuries, or if you have a brain injury.

We are delighted to confirm that this regional UKABIF seminar and networking event will include presentations focusing on the world of Neurorehabilitation to support the recovery for those affected by an Acquired Brain Injury.

Our thanks to No. 5 Chambers for being our fabulous hosts for this event and for Fletchers Solicitors for sponsoring the lunchtime time refreshments. Parking is not available at the building itself but in carparks located close by e.g. Snow Hill Station Car Park or https://www.b4parking.com/

Speakers include:

Chloe Hayward - Executive Director of the United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF). UKABIF is a charity and membership organisation focussed on raising awareness and improving access to care and support for people with acquired brain injuries and their families. UKABIF is connected to many clinical and legal professionals, academics, care providers, voluntary organisations and lobbying groups and provides the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Acquired Brain Injury. As part of the regional structure for UKABIF - WeMABIF is delighted to host Chloe at our event. She will be presenting about the work UKABIF has focussed on during 2025 and what there is to look forward to in 2026.

Dr Kate Heward PhD Clinical Director and Specialist Neurological and Vocational Occupational Therapist with Senior Associate Occupational Therapist and Service Development Lead from Rehabilitate Therapy.

Their presentation will cover goal setting and the integration of goals across an Interdisciplinary Team.

UKABIF Update and forthcoming events - Chloe Hayward/David Gauler

WeMABIF forthcoming events - Rachael Chamberlain

Independent Neurologloical Rehabilitation Providers Alliance - representatives from INPA will be sharing what this organisation aims to achieve and how it supports its members from accross the country who provide and/or are associated with the provision of neurological rehabilitation across all its guises.

UKABIF Raffle - please come along to the event expecting to be asked to enter a raffle with a range of amazing prizes on offer to help raise funds for UKABIF. We have very kindly been donated prizes by AKA Case Management, Cygnet Health Care, The Harborne Hospital and Thompsons Solicitors so far.

All this and an opportunity to network with individuals across a wide range of disciplines and pathways - this is an ideal opportunity to tell people what you do, share best practice and build contacts as well as hear great speakers. Light refreshments available.

All this for free - yes I know its amazing.. but what we would ideally like you to do is register as a member of UKABIF. A national charity which believes that by bringing together all parties with an interest in ABI we have a stronger voice. https://ukabif.org.uk/general/pick_username.asp

A plea from the organisers....if you book to come then wonderful we look forward to seeing you on the 26th November 2025. If you find after booking you can't come please let us know so we can prepare accordingly and let others attend. We have limited places for this event so it would be really helpful if you let us know that you can't come - or better still ....just come anyway!!!! Thank you.
