An inaugural regional West Midlands Children’s Services commissioning event is taking place on 12th September on the first floor at Coventry City Councils Friargate office.
Attendees will be officers who are involved in or have a link to children’s commissioning within their local authority or children’s trust whether this relates to Children’s Social Care or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Delegates will span from those with strategic responsibilities through to colleagues who undertake day-to-day operational activity.
Three Keynote speakers will present on the following topics:
- National advancements surrounding the South East Regional Care Co-operative
- Regional achievements and future intentions relating to the West Midlands Childrens and Adolescent Mental Health Services Provider Collaborative (Toucan)
- Regional and national developments and priorities associated with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities agenda
In addition, there will be the opportunity for participants to ask questions and clarify any matters they wish too with the keynote speakers present, where they will also be joined by representatives from Mutual Ventures, who were awarded the South East and Greater Manchester RCC support contract by the Department for Education.
Finally, two workshop sessions providing a further opportunity for interaction and discussion will also be offered where they will consider a variety of commissioning topics that are “current and hot” at a regional or national level.
