Update your DoLS knowledge
This half-day online course is DoLS mental health assessors for a general DoLS update. It will be run on Zoom, with course materials provided and counts as 3 hours further relevant training. In addition to the use of case studies to assist learning, you will be encouraged to identify your own legal and practice issues for discussion. Amongst the areas to be considered will be:.

- Update on Court of Protection case law developments regarding capacity and eligibility
- What do "good" form 4/4Bs look like?
- The renewed focus on using equivalent assessments
- The DoLS/MHA interface in hospital and the community

- Be up-to-date with the latest case law developments regarding the mental health assessor role
- Have a checklist against which to measure how "good" your assessments are
- Be able to put into practice the latest developments regarding the interface with the MHA
- Have your specific questions answered
