West Midlands Liberal Democrats are excited to invite you to our regional conference 2021 in Birmingham on the 20th November

Saturday 20th November. Registration from 9.00am. Start 9.30am

Our Annual General Meeting will be online on Friday 19 November at 7pm, after which there will be a full, in person programme on 20 November.

For those joining in person, the event will offer an opportunity to take pictures for that crucial Focus literature, networking, training, campaign and social media surgeries, an open mic on policy, a chance to propose regional policy motions, a Young Liberals fringe and a political quiz with the chance to win a donation to your local party.

We are pleased to announce that we will also be hosting several guest speakers including party President Mark Pack and the Peers on live feed, and an in person talk from Barclays 2021 National Social Entrepreneur of the Year, Steve Dixon, of Changes UK who will be talking to us about the work his charity does to support rehabilitation of those struggling with addiction in Birmingham.

For those joining us online we will have a variety of virtual training sessions by ALDC available throughout the day.

Where The Priory Rooms (https://www.theprioryrooms.co.uk/) are ideally located, a 2 minute walk from Birmingham Snow Hill Station and a 3 minute walk from Birmingham New Street and Moor Street

Parking There's no free parking, but parking is readily available nearby.

Refreshments Tea, coffee and a buffet lunch will be provided to all attendees with a selection of vegetarian options included. Special dietary requirements can all be catered for. Please contact Conference Chair Lucy Hurds if you have special dietary needs that are not catered for above.

Covid Safety The hall is a large, high ceilinged building. Our breakout room is also a decent size, and we will endeavour to ventilate throughout the day. Sanitiser will be provided and face masks for those who forget or wish to change throughout the day.Face masks are not compulsory but are recommended, particularly in high traffic areas. We also respectfully ask attendees to do a lateral flow test on the morning of conference.
