About this event
What is happening at The Lock-Up?
Thanks to the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Lock-Up at Steelhouse Lane has undergone a huge redevelopment.
We are on track to reopen in late April 2022 and anticipate being able to welcome our first school groups by the first week of summer term.
The new museum will be a fully interactive experience across three floors, covering the history of the force and the Lock-up itself, innovations and development in policing, forensic science and an introduction to the real Peaky Blinders.
Working with our Museum Engagement Officer, you will be able to create a bespoke input designed to meet the needs of your pupils and curriculum, focusing on local history, or development of policing since the Lock-Up and Victoria Law Courts opened in 1891.
What can we offer to your school?
An exciting and thought-provoking visit to the museum, with an opportunity to view the permanent exhibition and a bespoke hands-on or teaching input for only £5.00 per student.
An optional, ready-made goody bag for an additional £5.00.
