Description
National Breastfeeding Helpline Study Day in the West Midlands
This day is aimed at those supporting breastfeeding families - so volunteers, supporters, healthcare professionals, midwives, health visitors etc.
9.30am - Registration and refreshments
9.45am - Welcome from Shereen Fisher, CEO of the Breastfeeding Network
10am - Amanda Costello, Specialist Midwife, Infant Feeding. 'Tongue Tie'
11am - BfN's Big Tea Break (including a cake sale in aid of the BfN Drugs in Breastmilk info service)
11.15am - Wendy Jones, BfN Drugs in Breastmilk Pharmacist. 'Supporting mums with postnatal mental health illnesses'
12.15pm - Felicity Lambert, Manager, 'National Breastfeeding Helpline - who calls us and why?'
12.45pm - Lunch and networking (light lunch provided)
1.30pm - Angela Cartwright - Public Health Specialty Registrar, Directorate of Public Health, Stoke-on-Trent - 'Supporting Families with babies with Down Syndrome'
2.30pm - Lorna Hartwell, BfN Tutor and Supporter - 'Supporting families in refugee camps in Greece'
3.30pm - Thanks & close
