What issues will be covered in the 3 themes' presentations

The further information email will include a description of what topics will be in the presentations, and more information on the speakers. PLEASE note the order of the 3 themes may yet be altered.

What about catering arrangements?

We will supply beverages (tea, coffee and non caffeinated teas, cake and biscuits), but not lunch - you are welcome to bring your own, and there is a small cafe on site and nearby grocery shops

What parking is there?

There is a car park at the Community Centre, which is also used by Parish Council and library staff, but most of the roads near by do not have parking restrictions. There are bus stops near by and you'd be very welcome to cycle or e-bike of course. More details will be in the follow up email.

Through presentations by expert speakers and discussion sessions, we will spotlight practical actions that local councils, community groups and individuals can take in the face of the many challenges for our communities in the wake of climate change and biodiversity loss. The 3 main themes for the Summit are Flooding, Trees, and Food resilience plus a session on ‘considering options for action’.

We’re especially keen to bring together individuals with links to a wider community group or who have a coordinator role in engaging others to build climate resilience and ecological renewal. That is, we hope the Summit will energise and prompt attendees to promote projects within their community and spread the message that ‘we are all in this together’.
