Join jelly artists in a family workshop on Saturday 19th November at The Oasis on Baker Street to create your own lantern for a very special parade with Santa in Reading’s Town Centre taking place on Saturday 3rd December.
As part of 'Light Up Reading' for Reading's year of culture, jelly artists are working with families in workshops located in north, south, east and west Reading to create lanterns and light up the town.
In this workshop, you will use willow and tissue paper to create a lantern. Refreshments provided by Pop-Up Reading.
After the workshop you will be invited to parade on a short walk from Jacksons through the town which takes place on Saturday 3 December at 5pm leading Santa back to his bus.
Adults free with a paying child.
This event is open to everyone, however residents of the Baker Street Area Neighbourhood Association (BSANA) area will receive a discount. The BSANA area includes the whole of Baker Street together with all adjoining streets, and has the boundaries of Castle Hill, Tilehurst Road, Prospect Street, Oxford Road and the Inner Distribution Road.
