About Martyn
Following the tragic suicide of a friend and the stark realisation of his own mental health struggles, Martyn transformed pain into purpose. He became Wales's first dedicated Mental Health Officer in grassroots sport, establishing a crucial support framework where none had existed before.
In March 2023, his impact was recognised by one of the UK's industrial giants, leading to his appointment as Tata Steel UK's first Mental Health Advisor. In this pivotal role, he was tasked with breaking the silence and stigma within the industry and spearheading positive mental health campaigns for thousands of employees.
Seizing an opportunity to expand his reach and influence, he founded Springfield Advisory in December 2024. Today, Martyn and his team are dedicated to supporting numerous businesses and their workforces across Wales, providing the practical strategies and vital advice needed to foster mentally healthy workplaces.
Martyn is a passionate Mental Health Advocate who embodies resilience and a commitment to ensuring that every individual has the tools and support to thrive.
