West Yorkshire Police Band - Fundraising Concert
Sat 20 May 2017, 19:30 – 21:30 BST
Having spent time shadowing all of our local front line emergency services here in Halifax, I have been campaigning for greater protections for the brave men and women behind the uniforms. I am hosting this event to support these three great causes.
The West Yorkshire Police Band are Yorkshire area champions and have represented West Yorkshire Police all over the world. This wonderful evening of music set in one of Halifax's most grand venues is raising funds for three great causes.
Firstly, The Police Treatment Centre in Harrogate is a charity which provides treatment, support & recuperation, including intensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation, for injured and ill police officers.
Secondly, many people will know recently retired Neighbourhoods Inspector Colin Skeath who is about to embark on a 5 month unrivalled challenge of canoeing around the UK mainland in order to raise funds for the amazing Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
Thirdly, donations will be made to the families of the Police Officers killed and injured in the recent shocking terror attack on Westminster.
The funds raised will be split equally between these worthy causes.
I do hope you can join us for a fantastic evening.
