Westminster Abbey’s Assistant Organist Martin Ford performs music by JS Bach, Robert Schumann, César Franck, Edward Elgar and Max Reger.
This concert forms part of Westminster Abbey’s Summer Organ Festival. Held annually on Tuesday evenings in July and August, the festival brings together some of the finest organists from Britain and overseas. Over the course of five weeks, the versatility of the Abbey’s magnificent five-manual Harrison and Harrison organ, installed for the Coronation of King George VI in 1937, will explored in a fascinating range of music to suit all tastes.
The 2014 festival also features performances from Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin (15th July), Ben van Oosten (22nd July), James O'Donnell (29th July) and Daniel Cook (5th August).
Single tickets are priced at £12.00 (concessions £8.00).
A season ticket is available for all five concerts, priced £48.00 (concessions £32.00).
Entry is through the Great West Door from 6.30 pm.
Concerts last approximately 70 minutes with no interval.
All seats are unreserved.
Concessions apply to children, full-time students, disabled and senior citizens, and members of the Royal College of Organists (on presentation of membership card).
Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
