Westminster Abbey Summer Organ Festival (15th, 22nd, 29th July; 5th & 12th August at 7.00pm)
Held on Tuesday evenings from 15th July to 12th August, Westminster Abbey’s Summer Organ Festival brings together some of the finest organists from Britain and overseas. The 2014 festival features concerts by Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin (15th July), Ben van Oosten (22nd July), James O'Donnell (29th July), Daniel Cook (5th August) and Martin Ford (12th August). Over the course of the five concerts the versatility of the Abbey’s magnificent five-manual Harrison and Harrison organ, installed for the Coronation of King George VI in 1937, will explored in a fascinating range of music to suit all tastes.
A season ticket allows admission to all five concerts.
Tickets for each concert can also be purchased individually, priced at £12.00 (concessions £8.00).
Entry is through the Great West Door from 6.30 pm.
Concerts last approximately 70 minutes with no interval.
All seats are unreserved.
Concessions apply to children, full-time students, disabled and senior citizens, and members of the Royal College of Organists (on presentation of membership card).
Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
