Wet Cyanotype

By Tiny Skies

Overview

Wet Cyanotype is technique to add textures and a sense of depth to the blue image. All material is provided.

This workshop is part of a series of Cyanotype workshops taking place at the Out of the Blue Abbeymount Studios and Leith Makers. This workshop invites you to discover a technique called Wet Cyanotype. With the help of water, salt, turmeric and other utensils present in most households we will create Cyanotypes with various layers and textures. A sometimes messy but very rewarding technique and a fantastic way to understand the nature of the blue print.

No prior knowledge is necessary. All material is provided. For this workshop we will work on paper I prepared beforehand. I will bring a selection of subject matter for the Cyanotypes but you are welcome to bring objects to experiment with (no bigger than A5).
