Kasia Wozniak is hosting a workshop exploring the historic photographic process called Wet Plate Collodion. During the day, participants will have a chance to learn about the technique and produce their own images on glass (ambrotype) and aluminium plates (ferrotype/ tintype).
No experience or knowledge is required; the workshop is designed for anyone that is curious in this magical process.
Each day group consists of only 5 students, to enable everyone to receive individual attention while making 4.7’ x 6.5’ plates.
The day will cover:
- Introduction to the process and chemistry
- Preparing plates
- Capturing your own portrait or still life
- varnishing plates
The workshop will run from 10 till 16, however it is possible that it will overrun a little. All the materials will be provided for on the day.
