Event description

Description

We would like to invite all support agencies, community based organisations and community groups to the launch of Warmer Homes Advice and Money (WHAM). WHAM aims to make sure that no Bristol residents goes cold at home. Three organisations are working in partnership to support residents in Bristol who may be struggling with high fuel bills, cold, damp homes, money issues and/ or in need of home improvements to make the home warmer, healthier and more affordable to run.

The three organisations are: Centre for Sustainable Energy, Talking Money and West of England Care & Repair, all of whom have years of experience of supporting Bristol households with these issues.

Bristol City Council has funded this project to run for four years and we would like to invite you to our launch to hear more about what we are planning to do and the support that we can offer Bristol residents during this time.

We are launching this project during the Healthy Cities Week; the launch will consist of a 30 minute talk, starting at 4.45pm delivered by all the partners outlining the key aspects of the project and then an opportunity to browse the advice stands, network with the other attendees and ask the WHAM team any questions. All of this will be accompanied by drinks to make a toast and nibbles.

Due to limited availablity we are able to offer three invitations per organisation, and this will be on a first come first serve basis.

The hall has a level access from Brunswick square, disabled facilities and a hearing loop system, to find out more about the venue, please see the website: http://www.ethicalproperty.co.uk/our-centres/bristol/the-unitarian-chapel

Thank you, we look forward to seeing you there.
