What actionable steps can local businesses take to become more sustainable?

About this event
This event is in association with Better Business and sponsored by TLT.
Following the popularity of our last event focusing on Bristol’s journey toward becoming net-zero, the next in our Bristol24/7 Presents series will focus on businesses and the actions they can take to become more sustainable.
According to research, 2021 was the fifth hottest year on record. Despite its more prominent agenda in Bristol, climate change continues to be intensifying across the world leading to permanent damage to ecosystems, homes and our health.
In 2019, Bristol was the first UK authority to declare a climate emergency and ahead of the COP26 conference, it has been been on the forefront of discussions.
To address our journey towards becoming net-zero, mayor Marvin Rees launched the One City Plan, which brings together public, private and third sectors to make Bristol a safe, healthy and sustainable city.
Integrating sustainability into business models is increasingly important for consumers and will lead to many benefits. However, for small local businesses, it can feel abstract as a concept and taking concrete steps to achieve action can be overwhelming.
Join Bristol24/7 on Thursday February 17 to hear from experts and their experience on how businesses can create and deliver plans to become more sustainable. The event will provide actionable steps and provide information to local organisations that can offer advice and assistance.
The event will also feature additional commentary from people across different sectors in Bristol, including Bristol24/7 Better Business members.
