What Bristol women want from the General Election
Thursday, 6 November 2014 from 18:00 to 19:30 (GMT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
This event creates a space to talk about issues that women identify as critical to electoral politics at the 2015 general election. It brings together local women with academics working on electoral politics and on ‘women’s issues’. The initial panel discussion will focus on polling and voting behaviour, gendered austerity, women as parliamentary candidates, and women’s political interests. Then participate in the debate and contribute to a lively and in-depth discussion in which all contributors can learn from the perspectives of others.

Thinking Futures - The University of Bristol's Festival of Social Sciences and Law
The Thinking Futures festival 2016 takes place on the 5 - 12 November and aims to share and celebrate research from the University of Bristol's Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.
The programme comprises a wide variety of events for the general public, schools, policy-makers and third sector organisations, held in Bristol.
Engage with our researchers and see how the social sciences inform key debates and advances in policy and practice for governments, education, charities, health services, legal systems, and public services around the globe.
There are nine events being held this year across a wide array of topics and the festival is being co-ordinated by the Centre for Public Engagement and PolicyBristol as part of the national ESRC's Festival of Social Sciences.
