Event description
Big businesses like Buxton Nestle have the resources to bring positive change to communities and the environment but how and when?

About this event

Vertue is pleased to welcome Hayley Lloyd House, Buxton Water (Nestle) on 29th October to tell us more about the ambitious plans the corporation is rolling out.

Buxton water has been used in its community since 70AD by the Romans – the water is 5000 years old by the time it reaches the bottling plant. Perrier owned the factory prior to the current owners, Nestle. Big businesses like this have the resources for fast and meaningful impact on communities and the environment

Hayley will be telling us about the changes, present and future, that Buxton Nestle has in store for the beautiful countryside of the Derbyshire Peak District.

Hayley is an experienced corporate communications expert in public affairs, community engagement, change and is a people leader with a passion for nature and the outdoors. She is an Associate Public Health Nutritionist. In Hayley’s current role, with Buxton Nestle, she leads across the Corporate Affairs area including, Internal & External multi-channel communications, Corporate reputation, policy issues, community engagement, Stakeholder Engagement, Public affairs and Sustainability strategies for the U.K. Business.

Organiser Vertue

Organiser of What can the global giants do for local communities and sustainability?

As a sustainability advocate for many years, I wanted to provide a platform for people to join based on their sustainability journey; to share, learn and bring change.  Vertue provides a platform for well-researched information from expert speakers drawn from many sectors, science, business, arts and NPO's. The rapid changes in how we live, what we eat, communicate and work have been so extraordinarily fast that all life forms and the planet are reeling. Vertue covers many environmental areas and issues eg renewable heat sources, ancient woodlands, increasing allergies and mental health problems, intensive farming, purification of air and water.
