What can we learn from the world of elite sports coaching?

The session aims to facilitate discussion, ideas and share some experiences along the following topics:

‘Controlling the control-ables’ Developing resilience and handling uncertainty
John Walton is a coach and consultant. Following a short period with the Army’s elite Parachute regiment he studied an MSc in Sport Psychology at Loughborough University and went on to spend the last 13 years working with teams and individual athletes from developmental to elite level in both Olympic and professional sports. John is also completing a Masters Degree in Coaching and Mentoring at Sheffield Business School.
Who can attend this event?
This CPD event is open to all coaches and mentors with an interest in professional development, simply register your interest and reserve your place here. We meet at 5.30pm for informal networking, for a prompt start at 6pm finishing no later than 8pm.
How much does it cost?
There is a nominal £5:00 charge on the door to cover the cost of room hire and refreshments.
I'm not certain that I can come: what should I do?
Places are limited by the size of the room, so please consider others when booking a place. If you do have to cancel please give as much notice as possible, by canceling your ticket on Eventbrite, so that others are not disappointed. We often have a waiting list for these popular events.

There's no need to print out your ticket.
