About this event

We present listening tasks from a broad variety of sources and ask you to paraphrase what you hear.

We then dive deeper into the audio/video to extract new language and culture notes that will help you develop your language skills.

Finally, we discuss what we have heard to activate a range of relevant vocabulary and help you practise your spoken delivery of English.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum number of students per class?

Genuine English online routine classes are capped at 8 students per lesson to ensure that all students have the opportunity to speak and collaborate with their peers.

I'm an advanced student, will this class be challenging?

Yes! The listening tasks are taken from natural English speech and we create engaging activities which will certainly keep you on your toes!

Is there a minimum age to join the class?

Yes! Genuine English routine classes are designed for professionals and university students aged 18 and above.

Will there be a break during the lesson?

No! It's a 90-minute lesson where you will have the opportunity to speak English with people from all over the world.

Where will the lessons take place?

Lessons will take place online via Google Meet. 

Please ensure you have a stable internet connection so that you can join the class. 


Can I join a class from my phone/tablet?

Computers/laptops are preferred. However, you can comfortably complete “We Are Here To Talk” and “The News This Week” from your phone or tablet. The other 3 routine classes may be more challenging but I’m sure you would manage.

What are your booking policies?

We don’t offer refunds for classes purchased via Eventbrite.
