With Britain’s industrial heartlands voting to leave the EU, a new industrial strategy is seen by many as a way to revitalize their fortunes in post-Brexit Britain. But successful strategies needs firm foundations and policy steel for support. What tools should the government be using for its industrial strategy, or should some be left back in the toolbox?
To discuss these issues Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Greg Clark will be joined by Julia King of Aston University and Peggy Hollinger of the Financial Times for a panel discussion, chaired by David Willetts of the Resolution Foundation. All speakers will then take part in an audience Q&A.
Venue: Scherzo room, The Hyatt Regency Birmingham
