Description

In amongst the wide reaching ramifications of Brexit there will be undoubtedly be implications for the open government movement in the UK and internationally. This meeting of the UK Open Government Network will explore what these implications are, and how the OGN should respond to them.

Questions we'll be exploring will include:

  • What are the opportunities and theats to open government?
  • What should open government advocates be campaigning for?
  • How/can we secure new political leadership for open government?
  • What is the UK's future role in leading multi-lateral action?

Organiser of What does Brexit mean for open government?

The UK Open Government Network is a group of organisations and individuals committed to making government work better for people through increased transparency, participation and accountability. The network collaborates with, and challenges, governments in the UK to develop and implement ambitious open government reforms through the UK’s membership of the Open Government Partnership. The network has a membership of over 400 people, and is coordinated by the charity and think tank Involve.
