Overview

Come along to learn more and share ideas about the steps that our churches can take to become more sensory aware

During this session we will explore the topic of sensory processing. Did you know we actually have 8 senses? We will go through each of the senses and what they do. We'll do some practical activities to experience how our senses work and whether they help in calming us or make us more alert. Finally, we will get some tips on how we can be more inclusive as a justice-seeking church for neurodivergent people with sensory differences; and we will have a chance for questions and answers. Please bring a chewy snack (like a chewy sweet or toast) and bring something that you can fidget with as we talk.

This session will be led by Vikki Pestell, Occupational Therapist.
