About this Event

Part of the Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland's #PoweredByPhilanthropy 2019 programme this is a seminar-style event bringing together national experts and practitioners to give us an overview of philanthropy’s strengths and weaknesses in tackling inequality, some local and historical success stories, some recent examples of how philanthropy is helping with campaigns around diversity and inclusion – and the limits to this – and a call to action about what philanthropy should be doing to challenge the status quo.
