What If…?

Join us for an evening as we consider the ‘what if…?’ Of our possible future worlds. Drawing on futures research, spatial design, policy design and film-making, the Superfutures students have imagined worlds otherwise.
The brief, ‘Nature’s Depot’, a collaboration with the UK Government’s DEFRA, required an investigation into global supply chains and their relationships with nature, policy, communities and the built environment.
Event details
The screenings will run in the Gorvy theatre room whilst the adjacent Dyson cafe will host cinema-themed drinks and finger-food amongst an exhibition of props, artefacts and treatments related to the films. Guests are invited to dip in and out of the screenings of their choice whilst enjoying the cafe area.
The short films, each consisting between 6-8 minutes long, will be grouped into categories. Each category will play films back to back followed by a group q&a, led by a moderator engaging with the audience. The following category will begin after a break.
