What is a character based approach to digital citizenship education?

Practical approaches for teachers and parents

Jubilee Centre for Character & Virtues Webinar. Chaired by Director of Education, Dr. Tom Harrison with:

Given the many risks and opportunities that living online present children and young people today, this webinar is an opportunity to hear from those with first-hand experience of how teachers and parents can cultivate important virtues such as compassion, honesty and wisdom in children.

Drawing on the latest research on character and cyber-wisdom from the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, and reflecting on its application to digital citizenship education, this interactive discussion will include practical insights from primary and secondary teachers who are adopting character-based approaches in their schools and classroom.

This session follows the launch of THRIVE: How to Cultivate Character So Your Children Can Flourish Online, in January 2021, and forms part of the Centre’s ongoing Cultivating Cyber-Phronesis project.

Details for how to join the Webinar will be shared with registrants closer to the event.
