Event description

Description

On November 20-21, The Climate Reality Project is presenting 24 Hours of Reality: Truth in Action, a global conversation about the truth of the climate crisis and how we solve it. For one full 24-hour period, Climate Reality Leader volunteers, trained by former Vice President Al Gore, will hold public presentations and conversations on our changing climate in schools, community centres, workplaces, and more, across all 50 US states and in countries worldwide.

This event at Bournemouth University will follow on from an event in the afternoon where students will be hosting and broadcasting their own conversation on the climate crisis.

It’s going to be a great opportunity to talk about what the climate crisis means for our communities, as well as the solutions and actions we can take to make a difference. What's more for everyone who attends (and fills out a form) a tree will be planted by One Tree Planted

The presentation, led by local Climate Reality leader and activist, Mark Chivers, is designed for a broad audience; based on the science but accessible to everyone. It's perfect for those who want to understand what we mean by a climate emergency but is of equal value to those who have been brought into the movement by recent events led by Students and Extinction Rebellion who are looking for something that joins all the dots and helps with more facts to help in conversations on the climate emergency.

There's no entrance fee but please register to enable us to plan for the number of attendees.
