Dr Dan Browne is Director of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Delivering Quantum Technologies and a researcher in quantum computing theory at University College London. In this talk, he will attempt to answer the question of what a quantum computer is, the key quantum effects that it would rely on, and some of the latest approaches towards building one.
