Welcome to Getting on Board's Festival of Trusteeship 2021

We are so excited to bring you a week of online events to celebrate Trustees' Week . From Monday 1st November through to Friday 5th , there will be 5 events a day which explore a range of topics, from learning about trusteeship, refining your skills, getting to grips with recruitment processes and pausing to reflect on the biggest issues Boards face.

All of the Festival's events will be taking place virtually on Zoom, and you will be sent the joining instructions once you complete the Eventbrite order for each event you'd like to join.

All events across the Festival of Trusteeship will be recorded. Event recordings will be sent following the festival to all who booked a ticket for the specific event. Therefore if you are interested in the event but can't make it live, please do still book a ticket as you will be able to access the recording. Please note, the recording may be paused during sensitive and personal conversations during sessions and this is at the facilitator's discretion.

Ticket prices are as follows:

• £15 per event for corporate and public sector employees
• £5 per event for charity sector employees, volunteers, trustees, students and unemployed people

You can buy a weekly pass which gives you access to all the sessions across the week. You can purchase this by completing the order on an event you'd like to attend, and choosing 'weekly pass'. This will generate a code in your confirmation email which makes the rest of the events free to book on to.

The weekly pass costs:

• £75 for corporate and public sector employees
• £25 for charity sector employees, volunteers, trustees, students and unemployed people

What is a trustee & what do they do?

During this introductory session, you will learn all about trustees. What do trustees do? Who can become a trustee? What are charities looking for from their trustees? This session will be led by Leon Ward.

Everyone is welcome to attend any event, regardless of their position, but we thought it'd be useful to share who might get the most out of each event.

This event might be of particular interest to:

• People who are considering trusteeship but not quite sure if it's for them
• People who have never heard of being a trustee before, but are intrigued
• Senior managers of their organisation considering how to support their staff with their personal development

This event is one in a series of connected sessions which explore what it means to be a trustee. You may be particularly interested in the following events taking place this week:
