The purpose of these events are to raise local awareness within the community and voluntary sector across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland on
- what is adult safeguarding ,
- understanding the categories of abuse,
- how you can identify signs of abuse and
- what to do if you are worried about someone you know or support.
This is achieved through our facilitators talking through a powerpoint presentation and completing small group exercises with participants. The events last approximately 45 minutes each with 15 minutes for questions at the end.
