What is Brain Injury? 2017 Training for professionals
Headway West Sussex is delivering training to support professionals in Sussex who have service users and clients who have an Acquired Brain Injury, their families and/or Carers. We recognise that the effects of brain injury can be a barrier to successful outcomes for everyone. We want to support you to have an understanding of those effects and provide information on how to best support individuals and families so that outcomes can be positive and delivered more effectively.
During the session you will learn to recognise and understand the physical, psychological, cognitive and executive effects of an Acquired Brain Injury. You will learn useful methods of working with and not against the effects of the brain injury. Our training is delivered by Deborah Robinson who works professionally with brain injured clients, their families and/or Carers and is also a PQASSO training provider.
This training is of benefit to professionals working with or supporting a brain injured person, their carer(s) and/or family members in any professional setting or in a voluntary capacity.
Feedback from our training has been extremely positive with 100% of attendees say the training helped them understand brain injury better and 90% will be able to apply what they have learnt.
PLEASE NOTE: This course is for professionals only. We are running training for families and carers on another date.
Please arrive for a prompt 1.30pm start. Refreshments are provided.
