Event description

Description

Mel Rawles joins us from the Plymouth Library Service to introduce the complexities of Intellectual Property and why business proffesionals need to understand it.

Mel has worked for Plymouth Library Service for just over seven years. In that time she has undertaken a number of different roles including community development work and managing North Prospect Library. She runs the Plymouth Patlib Centre which is a free service provided in 16 libraries in the UK by the Intellectual Property Office and she also recruits and co-ordinates volunteers for the library service.

Prior to working for libraries Mel spent 12 years at Waterstone’s so much of her work time and spare time has always been dominated by her love of books.

This workshop is free to all current Plymouth University students as part of the University's BETA Enterprise start-up support programme.
