The ancient capital of Kamakura is one of the most popular day-trip destinations from Tokyo. In the center of the city stands the impressive Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine.
We will take a stroll on the shrine's vast grounds early in the morning during Tanabata Star Festival. It is a traditional summer event that takes place around July 7th. The most visual aspect of the festival is the large decorations you’ll see put up at the shrine.
