After establishing our definitions of Pan-Africanism as a restorative force, this symposium will now focus on the interior - the Continent.
About this event
Following the first symposium, in which we covered the timeline of the Pan-African Congresses, ruminated on the history of the idea and discussed modern African solutions for problems that face the heritage community today. November’s symposium proved to be a Pan African Congress itself.
Part 2, titled The Continental Agenda, will focus on the interior picture. Specifically, the Continent of Africa and its various regions. For the first half of the symposium, we will be looking at the Northern, Western, Eastern, Central and Southern Africa perspectives. Africa is not a country, its people are not a monolith and the issues that we face vary in so many different ways. It is essential that individuals seeking the betterment of African livelihoods now create a pragmatic picture in their minds.
All attendees are advised to bring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.
