What is the future of learning and development?
Mon 12 June 2017, 19:00 – 21:00 BST
In the feedback members give us there have been many requests that we might give some focus to the topic of Learning and Development. In response we are setting up a new group focused on this area. This is an opportunity to join the first session of a new L & D special interest group for the Surrey and Hants CIPD branch and to have a real say in how it develops.
The first meeting, we will focus on a general discussion around:
- ‘What is the future of L&D?
- What are the key shifts that are shaping what we do and how we do it?
- Where is spend being focused?
- How do we use technology and virtual learning?
- How does L&D help deliver strategic objectives?
- What about ‘new’ groups that are taking our attention eg apprentices?
This should help us lay the ground and help understand where we might want to focus future attention. To help stimulate the conversation we will have speakers from both public and private sectors giving a quick overview of their perspectives and how they are responding to future trends.
