Welcome to the What Keeps Our Young People Well - 2024 Public Health Annual Report Launch
You're invited to the launch of Sefton’s 2024 Public Health Annual Report, taking place this September at The Atkinson in Southport. This year’s report focuses on the wellbeing of young people aged 18–25, using a strengths-based approach to explore what helps them stay mentally and emotionally well.
Recognising the lasting impact of the pandemic and other pressures, the report shifts away from statistics alone and instead celebrates lived experience, with photography, storytelling, and insight from young people across the borough.
The event will take place in the morning and feature short presentations from Director of Public Health Margaret Jones, Cllr Mhairi Doyle, photographer-researcher Tadhg Devlin, and other individuals involved in the project.
Attendees can explore a powerful photography exhibition created with local young people and visit a wellbeing marketplace showcasing local support services. The event will conclude with reflections and a complimentary lunch, providing an opportunity to connect and share ideas.
Whether you're a professional or a community partner, this event is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and celebrate.
We look forward to seeing you there and connecting on how we can better support our young people.
