Event description

Description

Explore the causes of London's deadly diseases and chronic ill-health through time

The Grim Reaper - Thames

From pollution to pests, poor sanitation to obesity and smoking.

The causes of deadly diseases and chronic ill-health are many and complex.

Though the 19th and 20th centuries saw sewage systems built, better housing provided and incomes and standards of living rise, in the 21st century more people die of illnesses born of behaviours than contagious infections.

What killed us then and kills us now? Discover on this brand new tour for 2018.
