What matters to people when carrying out supervision?

About this event

We are offering a series of free online events for supervisors and managers working in social services in Scotland.

The events will link with the new National Occupational Standard (NOS) for supervision and supporting team members, and explore the different stages of supervision including preparing, carrying out and reviewing supervision.

Throughout the events we will invite you to share your experiences and examples from your practice.

We will deliver the events in partnership with the Leading to Change team at NHS Education for Scotland.

What matters to people when carrying out supervision?

The second in a series of events will cover your own leadership and how this supports and informs your supervision approach. You will look at why it’s important that supervisors collaborate and take time to build relationships, how to approach those necessary conversations and how supervision can support trauma informed practice and people’s wellbeing. The team from the NHS Education for Scotland National Trauma Transformation Programme will support this event.

By the end of the event, you will have:

· considered your own leadership approach within supervision

· explored how to support trauma informed practice

· thought about how to approach necessary and sometimes difficult conversations

· an increased understanding of how to supervise and support team members.

If demand is high, we may limit registrations to two per organisation.
