We would like to invite you to join us at a public meeting on Wednesday 31st January at Leeds Town Hall. During this meeting you will hear about the exciting next chapter for the city and we will share details of how the whole city can continue to be part of what has been an incredible story so far.

The recent decision by the European Commission to cancel the UK competition for European Capital of Culture will not prevent us from the journey we started four years ago. It simply signals the end of the beginning.

Councillors agreed a positive first step in continuing to build upon the strong and meaningful momentum generated from the bid.

We look forward to continuing our journey with you as we share and commit to the ambitions set out in the city’s new Culture Strategy.
