What next? Joe Poole, Director of Curriculum South Sefton Campus

Joe Poole is the Director of Curriculum at our South Sefton Campus (Sixth Form Centre). Joe is a former Solicitor who now works in post 16 education. In 2004 Joe achieved a 2:1 in Law (LLB) from The University of Reading and then went on to study the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at The College of Law in Chester. After completing the LPC, Joe began a training contract with Eversheds LLP, an international commercial law firm, qualifying as a Solicitor after two years. Joe moved into education in 2008, working full time as a Teacher of Law in a Further Education College whilst also completing a part time PGCE. Since 2008 Joe has worked at three post-16 providers, holding a number of middle management and senior management positions. This talk will look at Joe's educational and professional journey, with a particular focus on what it's really like to study law and work as a Solicitor.
