Landlines in the UK are going digital by the end of January 2027.

Although the landline isn’t going away, we know that you might have questions or would like to know more about this industry-wide change. Please join us where we are delighted to have Chris Hockley, BT Digital Voice Engagement Manager who will provide an interesting talk on what Digital Voice is, why the change is necessary and what it will mean for you.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the talk.

Chris Hockley works for BT Group (BT, EE & PlusNet), helping people move from the old landline system to a new, more reliable digital service. Chris's job is to make sure that everyone, including local councils, charities, and care providers, understands what’s changing and how to make the switch as easy as possible.

Chris has spent many years focusing on making services simpler and better for customers. Chris enjoys talking to people, answering questions, and making sure they feel confident about the changes ahead. His goal is to ensure that no one is left behind as we move to a new way of staying connected.
