What They Didn't Teach You in Art School

About this Event

A practical, discursive, insightful and instructive talk to help artists at all stages of their careers to understand the practical and philosophical aspects of an art career and also how to navigate the difficult transition between education and making a career as an artist. Join Rosalind Davis as she covers everything you need to know from representing yourself, generating your own opportunities and successfully navigating the art world.

Rosalind Davis is an artist-curator and a graduate of The RCA (2005) and Chelsea College of Art (2003). As an artist, Davis has exhibited nationally and internationally and has had a number of solo shows in London. Her work is held in a number of private and public collections including Soho House. Davis was appointed Curator at Collyer Bristow Gallery in 2016 where she curates 3 exhibitions per year. To date she has curated 30 exhibitions throughout her career. Davis was the co-author of the best-selling book ‘What they didn’t teach you at art school’, an essential for any artist.

This event is part of a series of events aimed at emerging artists running alongside the exhibition FBA Futures 2020
