Event description

Description

Please join us for a mini "hackathon" and a delicious lunch as we generate creative ideas around Scotland's waste, past and present.

CONVERSATION

What does Waste look like? Explore common themes and research synergies around Waste across engineering and economic history, art history and archival management.

COLLECTIONS

Where is Waste? Explore unique archival documents from the Scottish Business Archives and others, and help us identify collecting gaps in the archive for waste management and disposal.

CATALOGUES

What does Waste mean to you? Equip future researchers to find past waste in the archive by sharing terminology, search terms, and waste problems from the present.

We hope that "What We Threw Away" will help build relationships, collaborations, and community around common research interests and help us think more sustainably about the future.

All are welcome--please share this invitation widely within your networks.

Hannah-Louise Clark, Kiara King, and Moira Rankin
