Overview
This webinar will help you understand and stay ahead of upcoming changes to curriculum and assessment in English
Please join our panel of experts to review the recommendations made in the CAR final report for English and explore urgent and practical questions arising from the CAR final report and government’s response, including:
- How will we balance the CAR’s encouragement to include a more diverse array of authors as well as media and digital literacy, oracy, and drama in English Literature? How will we make space for new content?
- How do we capitalise on the CAR’s support for a renewed English Language GCSE (and how might any changes affect Further Education and re-sit students, or impact on teaching at KS3)?
- What might the new Level 1 ‘stepping stone’ qualification look like?
- The CAR final report indicates that for English, DfE and Ofqual will “continue working together to explore the range of assessment methods available whilst balancing the risks presented by AI”. What assessment methods do we want to see, and why?
