The “What Works” movement is based on the principle that good decision-making should be informed by the best available evidence, and the last decade has seen a growing focus on producing evidence-based policy and practice in governments around the world.

The UK is no exception, and there are now 14 What Works Centres that collate, create, and translate evidence in different policy and practice domains.

Join us at the Policy Institute on 4 May for the launch of The What Works Centres: Lessons and Insights from an Evidence Movement, edited by Michael Sanders, Director of the Experimental Government Team at the Policy Institute, King's College London, and Jonathan Breckon, Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Policy Institute.

In this session leaders, researchers and practitioners from these institutions will share insights to help understand what has worked so far in the Centres, and what could be done better in future to ensure that these institutions can have a practical impact on the improvement of the world around us.
